Ann Alenik

Ann Alenik was born and raised in Connecticut. She attended the Johnson and Wales culinary school, where she met her future husband, Chef David. They later worked together at the five star Boca Raton Club in Florida before finally settling in Las Vegas in 1981. Ann is responsible for the vibe dining and interior design of the Pasta Shop, including all the artwork displayed, which are Ann’s custom creations and are available for purchase. Ann’s art has been featured on HGTV and in galleries around the country and received recognition for her contemporary metalwork. Since the loss of her husband David in 2016, Ann and the rest of her team have stepped in to fill his larger than life shoes. She is the proud mother of 3 beautiful children that all help in different capacities to make this a true family-run business.


 
 

Gaby Mangona

Gaby Mangona is our general manager. Gaby is originally from Torrance CA. She moved to Las Vegas with her family and has worked at the Pasta Shop for the past 11 years. Gaby enjoys developing relationships with our wonderful customers and friends and when not in the restaurant, spending her free time with her precious daughter, son and her middle school sweetheart turned fiancé, Anthony.


 
 

Edwin Martinez

Executive Chef Edwin Martinez is originally from a small town tucked into the mountains of El Salvador. He began working at the Pasta Shop over 17 years ago as a dishwasher. Chef David noticed his incredible work ethic and desire to learn, and began closely mentoring him in the art of Italian cooking and fresh pasta making. Chef Eddie emulates the cooking style and speciality recipes passed down by Chef David in a way that makes him truly live on through the food. He loves taking a break from the kitchen in his spare time and eating at all the world class restaurants Las Vegas has to offer.


Bianca Alenik

Bianca Alenik is a Vegas native and has been a part of the Pasta Shop her entire life. She began taste testing the pasta as a baby, then grew to learning the ins and out of the restaurant as a teenager, and after attending University of Hawaii (graduating with a degree in Political Science), she moved back to Las Vegas following Chef David’s passing, to help her family run the business. Bianca enjoys the community atmosphere and coming to work where everyone feels like family. She loves spending time in nature, making herbal salves and tinctures, traveling to far away places, and devoting time to yoga and meditation.



Trent Alenik

Trent Alenik is the eldest of three children in the Alenik family and has grown up in the Pasta Shop since birth. He can remember from his earliest days eating tons of garlic bread and fettuccine Alfredo. Over the years he matured eventually co-created the vegan menu with his sister Bianca. Trent was a Division I Tennis player at Villanova University, where he graduated with a degree in Finance from their highly acclaimed business school. Upon graduation in 2011, Trent turned down offers to work in finance to run the Marty Hennessy Inspiring Children Foundation back in his hometown. The organization helps at-risk youth earn college scholarships through mentoring, education, athletic, entrepreneurship and mindfulness based programing.


Clayton Alenik

Clayton Alenik is the youngest member of the Alenik clan. He grew up working at the restaurant and playing tennis at the No Quit Tennis Academy. Clayton graduated from UNLV with a degree in hotel management and loves the opportunity to learn about running a successful business while getting to put his newfound education to practical use at the Pasta Shop. He enjoys playing ukulele in his free time and if he’s not working at the restaurant, you can probably find him eating there.


David Alenik

David Alenik was the owner and executive chef of Pasta Shop Ristorante since it’s opening in 1989. David began his journey earning a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales Culinary Academy in Providence, RI. In 1980, he moved to Las Vegas with Ann, working at the storied Villa D’Este and the Golden Nugget before becoming the personal chef to Vegas legend Steve Wynn. During the time David personally catered to Mr. Wynn, his guests included Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, Cary Grant, Sylvester Stallone, Muhammad Ali and Evel Knievel among many others. After his successful tenure with Steve Wynn, David used his entrepreneurial skills to open the Pasta Shop Ristorante, wherein he was recognized as Restauranteur of the Year from the Nevada Restaurant Association and received acclaim from nationally recognized sources such as Zagat and USA Today. David sadly passed away two years ago and his family, along with our incredible team, have kept his legacy of love, community, and excellent food alive here at the Pasta Shop.
